Benjamin Ferreira Neto is elected the new president of the Board of Directors of Anfacer

Entrepreneur integrates the third generation of a family with strong performance in the ceramic tile sector and commands Cerâmica Alfagrês, located in Santa Gertrudes


The 59-year-old entrepreneur from the ceramic tile sector, Benjamin Ferreira Neto, was elected this Wednesday afternoon, March 31, president of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Manufacturers of Ceramic Tiles for Coatings, Sanitary Ware and Similar Applications (Anfacer). The vote took place during the Annual General Meeting of the entity, held remotely.

Benjamin will replace the current president, Manfredo Gouvêa Júnior, from the company Elizabeth, and will take office at the end of April. At that time, Manfredo and the businessmen Cesar Gomes Junior, from Portobello, and Darks Cesar Cassotti, from Biancogres, will take over the three vice-presidencies.

In addition to the president and vice-presidents, board members Ana Lúcia Bastos Mota (Cerbras), Christian Gail (Gail), Eduardo Fior (Carmelo Fior), Gilmar Menegon (Ceusa) will also take office, Heitor Ribeiro de Almeida Neto (Almeida), Marcelo Izzo (Deca), Maria Esther Paraluppi (Embramaco), Murilo Ghisoni Bortoluzzi (Itagres), Otmar Josef Müller (Eliane), Sérgio Magalhães (Vidro Real) and Sergio Wuaden (Incepa).

The event also included the appointment of board members Luiz Antonio Ortigosa (Delta), Sergio Melfi (Roca) and Renato Casagrande (Casagrande) as effective members of the Fiscal Council. The alternates will be Valmir Carnevalli (Savane), Marconi Leonardo Pascoali (Angelgres) and Vanderli Vitório Della Coletta (Villagres).

Third generation

Born in Rio Claro, in the interior of the State of São Paulo, Benjamin is part of the third generation of a family with a strong presence in the ceramic tile sector and commands Cerâmica Alfagrês, which has its industrial plant installed in the municipality of Ipeúna (SP), a city that is part of the Santa Gertrudes Ceramic Pole.

The businessman has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (PUC-Campinas), was president of the Administrative Council of the São Paulo Association of Ceramic Coatings (Aspacer) and president of the Employer's Union of the Construction, Furniture and Ceramics Industries of Santa Gertrudes (Sincer), both positions held from 2015 to 2018.

Currently, Benjamin is vice president of Aspacer and Plenary Councilor of the Center of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Ciesp/SP).
