Known for the originality and sophistication of the furniture he develops, English architect Benni Allan presents a series of authorial furniture at the Béton Brut gallery in London.

Entitled "Low Collection", the furniture series explores the different ways of sitting in different cultures, based on Allan's on-site research while travelling in Japan, China and Spain.

The pieces have a minimalist footprint and are designed from sculptural forms that suggest places to sit.

Exploring materiality and construction, each piece in the exhibition was hand-finished by Allan, who is director of EBBA Architects.

The show is on show until July 8, at the Béton Brut gallery (50 Vyner Street, E2 9DQ, London, UK).
