Miguel Pinto Guimarães
Architect
He graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from UFRJ in 1997. He is a founding partner of MPG Arquitetura and Opy Soluções Urbanas.
He opened his first office at the age of 19. In 2001, he headed Bernardes Jacobsen Guimarães, which resulted from the merger of his office with the Bernardes brand. In 2003, he opened his own studio. In 2018, together with Sergio Conde Caldas and João Souza Machado, he created OPY, a unique company in the real estate market focused on finding disruptive solutions where architecture is the main pillar of the product.
His portfolio of more than 1,000 projects in Brazil and abroad includes projects of all kinds, such as homes, buildings, hotels, schools, museums, galleries, restaurants and urban projects, always guided by the vision of the individual, by the human scale.
Miguel now heads a team of more than fifty architects in constant search of the essence of good living, both individually and collectively.
Sergio Conde Caldas
Architect
Graduated from Santa Úrsula University in Rio de Janeiro. Architect and founding partner of SCCA and Opy Soluções Urbanas.
Winner of several architecture awards in Brazil, he is an advisor to IAB-RJ, was vice-president of ASBEA, and a member of COMPUR (Urban Policies Committee).
Sergio believes in dialoguing with the landscape and the city, valuing integration, comfort, beauty and functionality. In each projeto he seeks a full conception, in which creative aspects, linked to form and volume, are closely linked to the most appropriate construction methods. Its portfolio includes various partnerships with engineering companies, construction companies and national and international architectural firms.
