The 24th edition of Ecomac Bahia took place from 1 to 4 October, at the Iberostar Hotel - Praia do Forte-BA. The event brought together more than 1,500 professionals from all over Brazil, who took part in lectures, debates, networking and got to know the latest innovations in the market to motivate and generate business in the construction sector.
ANFACER and EXPO REVESTIR, traditional sponsors and great partners of this event, presented to all the retailers the new Seal of Quality for Certified Porcelain tiles, which aims to stimulate the certification of ceramic products, combat intentional non-compliance, avoid the improper use of the terminology "porcelain tiles" and meet the governmental programs that aim to foment the conformity of materials for civil construction.
Among the diverse program, the event included a lecture by Cláudio Conz, president of Anamaco, who presented the most recent figures of the retail segment. Participants were also able to learn more about the projections for 2016, with economist Alexandre Schwartsman, who spoke about the current economic scenario and prospects for next year. He has extensive experience in the segment, having studied for a doctorate in economics at the University of California, Berkeley, and was chief economist of the Santander Brazil group, director of International Affairs of the Central Bank (BC), and also a columnist for the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper.
Ecomac Bahia also brought Alberto Serrentino to talk about "How to make your shop more profitable: Management focused on profitability". The Varese Retail partner is a consultant specializing in retail, consumption and distribution, with over 20 years of experience in the sector and author of over 300 published articles.
The event, organised by Acomac Bahia and Anamaco, brought together the main names in the sector and included shows by Chiclete com Banana, Harmonia do Samba, Cangaia de Jegue and a raffle with various prizes for the participants.
