Archtrends Portobello opens entries for the "Projects that tell stories" architecture competition
5/2/2024
The winners will be entitled to an exclusive experience with the Archtrends team at the Portobello stand during Expo Revestir in São Paulo. Professionals and students in the fields of Architecture, Interior Design, Design or Engineering from any region of Brazil can take part.
Archtrends, the architecture and design portal on Portobello, has opened entries for the fourth edition of its architecture competition. Those interested should create projects under the theme "Projects that tell stories" and publish them on the Archtrends website by February 23rd. The authors of the 10 best initiatives will win invitations to an exclusive experience with the Archtrends team at the Portobello stand on March 22, during Expo Revestir, Latin America's largest floor and wall coverings fair, which takes place in São Paulo, as well as having their proposals published on the Archtrends website.
"In line with the Portobello 2024 Collection, the competition projects must tell stories. The stories of the residents of the home, or of the property, or of the city, or of the author himself. We want to see creativity in interpreting the theme," says Archtrends editor Maria Silvia Ferraz. In this edition, only single-family residential projects will be accepted.
Professionals or students in the fields of Architecture, Interior Design, Design or Engineering from any region of Brazil can take part. Suggestions must include at least one product from Portobello's current collection. As this is a creative and playful exercise, only 3D images will be accepted, and photos or projects that have already been completed will not count. It is possible to participate with more than one projeto.
To take part in the competition, the idea must be published on the candidate's profile on the Archtrends website by February 23 at 12 noon, with the tag #PROJETOSǪUECONTAMHISTÓRIAS, duly marking the Portobello products used in it. If the author is a partner of the brand, they can tag the Portobello Shop that they have a relationship with.
The judging panel, made up of Lufe Gomes, architectural photographer and content creator, Lilian Santos, interior designer and CEO of the architecture platform Revestindo a Casa, and Maria Silvia Ferraz, editor of Archtrends, will be responsible for evaluating the projects submitted. The names of the winners will be announced on the Archtrends Instagram profile from 12 noon on March 1st.
Last year, Archtrends held a pre-Revestir competition, taking the winners on an exclusive experience at the fair, with a guided tour of the Portobello stand and the distribution of gifts. Architects, interior designers and students from all over Brazil took part, providing a rich networking opportunity and bringing them closer to Portobello, the leading ceramic tile brand in Latin America.
