The Brazilian Centre for Steel Construction (CBCA) has announced the 15th edition of the CBCA Competition for Architecture Students. The competition is aimed at university architecture students with the support of a guiding professor.
The jury will especially evaluate the correct and appropriate use of steel, both in conceptual and architectural aspects and in technological and constructive aspects. The first place will be awarded R$ 10,000, to be divided between the team and the supervising professor.
The winner of the competition will participate as Brazil's representative in the #desafioALACERO de Diseño en Acero para Estudiantes de Arquitectura 2022, organised by the Latin American Steel Association (ALACERO).
The CBCA Competition, which has its own organization and awards, is a stage of the #desafioALACERO, which has Latin American scope. The winning team from Brazil will compete with winning teams from ALACERO member countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Dominican Republic.
The CBCA also awards prizes, in a parallel competition, to engineering students' projects.
Registration continues until 20 May on the website: http://www.cbca-acobrasil.org.br
