In recent years, the national ceramic tile and sanitary porcelain industry, represented by ANFACER - National Association of Manufacturers of Ceramic Tiles for Tiles, Sanitary Fixtures and Congeners - has reached the state of the art in terms of technology, with updated design and high productivity (one of the highest in the world).
Currently, Brazil is one of the main players in the market and ranks second in the production and consumption of tile ceramics, as well as seventh in the world export ranking, with business in more than 110 countries on all continents. Likewise, Brazil has a wide and active participation in all world forums in the sector, with recognition of its production capacity and product quality.
Once again, ANFACER (represented by 17 associated companies) is participating in the most important moment of world design: the Milan Design Week. Between April 4 and 9, with the support of Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), the association will be present at two exhibitions of Brazil S/A (Best In Show and Be Brasil), which will take place at theUniversità Degli Studi di Milano.
BEST IN SHOW
With the objective of valorizing innovation and design of national products with high added value, ANFACER held the third edition of the "Best in Show - Ceramics of Brasil" Awards, during the 15th EXPO REVESTIR.
The products in 10 different categories were awarded, elected by a jury, curated by journalist and design critic Marcelo Lima, composed of the journalists Allex Colontonio (Publisher and Editorial Director of GIZ magazine), Fernando Mungioli (Publisher of Projeto magazine); Fernando Serapião (Editor of Monolito magazine); Eliana Sanches (Editorial Director of Casa Claudia magazine); Ricardo Gaioso (Content Director of Kaza magazine); Thais Lauton (Editorial Director of Casa e Jardim magazine). The architects and interior designers Brunete Fraccaroli, Diego Revollo, Fernanda Marques, Francisco Cálio, Leo Shehtman and Noura van Dijk, were also jurors of the award.
"The objective of the Best in Show - Ceramics of Brazil is to recognize the best products launched by the associates during the year and to enhance the national industry. In addition, it also stimulates opportunities on new fronts and promotes international business opportunities," says Antonio Carlos Kieling, superintendent of ANFACER.
BE BRAZIL
ANFACER is also participating in Be Brasil, a panorama of Brazilian contemporary design that will be exhibited at Milan University(Università Degli Studi di Milano), from April 4 to 9, during Milan Design Week. In its first edition, the Be Brazil exhibit, organized by Apex-Brasil, will present pieces from 60 Brazilian companies that highlight the main attributes of Brazilian design, among several categories: creativity, innovation and sustainability.
In this context, products from nine companies associated with ANFACER, selected among the launches seen at EXPO REVESTIR 2017, will be presented. The high productivity of the Brazilian ceramics industry, competitive prices and the use of design and cutting-edge technology qualify the sector to export today to over 100 countries.
