Ceramics of Brazil promotes national participation in the main US ceramics exhibition

Coverings 2022 takes place in Las Vegas, USA, from 5 to 8 April 2022

The largest and most important ceramics and natural stone exhibition in the United States and North America, Coverings 2022 will host, through projeto Ceramics of Brazil, 11 Brazilian companies from the ceramics sector that will take their most recent launches to the North American market. The event takes place from 5 to 8 April, in Las Vegas.

Ceramics of Brazil is an initiative of Anfacer (National Association of Manufacturers of Ceramic Tiles for Wall Tiles, Sanitary Ware and Congeners) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments), with the aim of internationalizing the national ceramic tile industry, through strategic actions to increase business generation.

The Brazilian participation in the event is already traditional and has been since 1998. In this edition will be the companies: Angelgres, Carmelo Fior, Cecrisa / Portinari, Cristofoletti, Eliane, Elizabeth, Embramaco, Itagres, Lef, Pamesa and Vidro Real.

Exports - In 2021 national ceramics exports totalled 130.3 million square metres, representing 38.5% growth, after breaking an all-time record in April.

April 2021 recorded the best export result for the month in the entire historical series for the Brazilian ceramic industry, placing the country as the fourth largest exporter in the world in the period, according to a Market Intelligence survey by Anfacer, which represents companies in the sector.

A target market for national ceramic products, in 2021 Brazil exported 23.5 million m² to the US, equivalent to US$115.8 million.

The Brazilian ceramic industry was, between January and November 2021, the fifth largest supplier of ceramic tiles and porcelain tiles to the USA. When we talk only about ceramic tiles, the country rises to third position, behind Mexico and Spain.

About Projeto Ceramics of Brazil - Created in 2001, projeto sectorial of the Brazilian ceramics industry, Ceramics of Brazil, is promoted by Anfacer (National Association of Ceramic Tile and Wall Tile Manufacturers) in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). The objective is to promote Brazilian exports of ceramic tiles and sanitary porcelain fixtures, supporting the Brazilian ceramic industry in its efforts to enter the international market through promotion and participation in fairs and international events, commercial intelligence, among other specific actions.  

About ApexBrasil - The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) works to promote Brazilian products and services abroad and attract foreign investment to strategic sectors of the Brazilian economy.

To achieve these objectives, Apex-Brasil carries out a variety of trade promotion activities aimed at promoting exports and adding value to Brazilian products and services abroad, such as prospective and trade missions, business rounds, support for the participation of Brazilian companies in major international fairs, visits by foreign buyers and opinion makers to get to know Brazil's production structure, among other business platforms that also aim to strengthen the Brazil brand.

The Agency also acts in coordination with public and private actors to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) to Brazil with a focus on strategic sectors for the development of the competitiveness of Brazilian companies and the country.
