THE 15TH EXPO REVESTIR IS KICKING OFF: BEST MOMENTS OF THE FIRST DAY

Inspiration, knowledge and many businesses to start the year with renewed energy. This Tuesday, March 7, the 15th edition of EXPO REVESTIR and the INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION FORUM began. Among the essential concepts, the value of the past, the importance of taking advantage of the present and looking towards the future mark the iconic 15 years of the events.

The official opening ceremony was attended by State Congressman Itamar Borges; Deputy State Secretary of Housing Nelson Luiz Bareta Neves Filho, representing the Governor of São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin; State Congressman João Caramez; Abrafat Superintendent Dilson Ferreira; Chairman of the Board of ANFACER, Heitor Almeida; Undersecretary of Mining, José Jaime Sznelwar, representing the Secretary of Mining, João Carlos Souza Meireles; president of Cerâmica Alfagrês, Benjamin Ferreira Neto; councilman Rodrigo Goulart; general director of Deca, Raul Penteado and the superintendent of ANFACER and president of EXPO REVESTIR and FORUM, Antonio Carlos Kieling and Lauro Andrade Filho, director of the events.




After the official opening ceremony, the organizers, authorities and business people present, together with the president of the ANFACER Board of Directors, Heitor Almeida , walked through the pavilions wishing a warm welcome to the more than 240 exhibitors. Promoted by the National Association of Ceramic Tile Manufacturers for Wall and Floor Tiles, Sanitary Ware and Other Fixtures (ANFACER), EXPO REVESTIR is already consolidated as one of the main events in the world for solutions in wall and floor tiles, sanitary ware and metals.

EXPORTS ON THE RISE

In the 40,000 m² area, spread over seven pavilions, the main launches are presented in the ceramics segments for tile, sanitary ware, metals for kitchens and bathrooms, ornamental stone, mosaics, wood, laminates, cement, vitreous tiles and other solutions for architectural and interior design projects.

Besides the main national brands, there will be international exhibitors from Germany, Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Spain, United States, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Sweden and the Czech Republic.

PROJETO BUYER AND IMAGE IS SUPPORTED BY APEX-BRASIL AND TAKES PLACE AT THE 15TH EXPO REVESTIR



With the support of Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments) through the strategic partnership built with ANFACER, another meeting of the Projeto Comprador e Imagem (Buyer and Image) was held today, which aims to generate business, considering that the fair is the right environment to strengthen commercial relations with the international market.

Buyers from the following countries were invited: Aruba, Australia, Bahrain, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Curacao, El Salvador, Grenada, Guyana, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Lebanon, Mexico, Mozambique, Panama, Peru, Portugal, the Dominican Republic, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, South Africa, Germany, United States. The meeting was attended by journalists and opinion makers from Argentina, Spain, France, Italy, Paraguay, South Africa, the United States and the United Kingdom.

FORUM: TRIBUTES TO PARTNERS AND LECTURES WITH INTERNATIONAL GUESTS



Expectations were high for the opening ceremony of the first day of the INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION FORUM, which began with an address by Anfacer's president, Antonio Carlos Kieling, followed by a brief speech by Eliana Sanches, of Grupo Abril, and by Noura van Dijk, acting president of ABD.

Antonio Carlos Kieling asked for permission to break protocol and pay an emotional tribute to the partners of EXPO REVESTIR and of the INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION FORUM during this inspiring 15-year trajectory. They are partners who have helped to build the success of the events. The winners of ABD were: Brunete Fraccaroli, Roberto Negreti, Carolina Szabó, Noura van Dijk, and Renata Amaral. Angelo Derenze, from D&D and Eliana Sanches, from Casa Claudia, were also honored with the award.



The Interior Designer's Day programming continued with the Panel ABD, which discussed the theme After all, what changes with the recognition of the Interior Designer's Profession? The debate, led by Noura van Dijk, acting president of the Brazilian Association of Interior Designers (ABD), was mediated by Victor Megido, Director of Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), and counted with the presence of Renata Amaral, President of ABD (2013 - 2017), Ricardo Izar - Federal Congressman and author of Law 13.369 and Walter Vittar, Political Consultant. "It has been 18 years since there was a regulation of a new profession in Brazil. The change in the presidency contributed to the sanction of projeto, which was so relevant that it took only four years to come to fruition - normally a process like this takes more than 10 years," said Ricardo Izar, Federal Deputy.



With the theme "The Practice of the Interior Design Profession and the Forms of Negotiations in the USA", the American Charrisse Johnston, President of the National Board of Directors of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) showed an overview of how the profession works in American territory. Charrisse has a degree in Behavioral Sciences from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA in Management and Marketing from Columbia University. She is also a Certified Professional in the Interior Design Extension Program at the University of California (UCLA).



To round off the electrifying programme, it was the turn of Frenchman Vincent Gregorie to receive the attention of the qualified audience attending the Forum to talk about trends. Vincent has a degree in Interior and Industrial Design from the Ecole Camondo in Paris and is Creative Director of NellyRodi, a trend research agency present in 16 countries and which has correspondents who cross the planet to anticipate and decode consumer behaviour. The trendsetter spoke about the Design, Decoration and Style Trends for 2018/19.

CASA VOGUE PROMOTED A BRUNCH FOR GUESTS AT THE MAGAZINE'S ROOFTOP

Casa Vogue magazine celebrated its participation in the 15th edition of EXPO REVESTIR with the Rooftop Casa Vogue environment. The trendy space presented a surface design collection signed by stylist Glória Coelho for DellAnno.



FINE BLEND OF COVERINGS, DESIGN AND DÉCOR

A series of talks with big names in design, architecture, lighting and interior design will be part of the unmissable talks to be held during the 15th edition of EXPO REVESTIR. The objective of the meetings is to present the convergence between the coverings and everything that composes and finishes architecture and decoration projects. For this reason, the lecture stage of the High Design Space received today the architect Camila Klein, who spoke about trends and what currently involves the world of architecture.

At the end of the afternoon, the lecture was in charge of the interior designer Joia Bergamo. It is worth mentioning that until the end of the Architecture and Construction Fashion Week, the High Design - Home & Office Expo stand will receive professionals, such as architect and designer Tiago Curioni (on the 8th, 2pm). At 5pm Bruno Freitas, from Lilliput Maquetes, takes the microphone. On the 9th, it is designer Sérgio Matos' turn to take the stage at 12 noon, followed by Maurício Lamosa, from Estudiobola. The last designer to present will be Guto Indio da Costa. The High Design Space is located at stand 950.

In the tour by the main trends that mark the 15th edition of the ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION FASHION WEEK, the coatings that propose three-dimensionality and industrial wear stood out. The universe of colours is also present in the main launches. The fair takes place until March 10, at Transamerica Expo Center.
