Decortiles takes Brazilianity to the United States as one of the companies participating in the Casa Brasil New York 2022 show, which runs until May 25, organized by ApexBrasil. The brand's highlight will be the artistic porcelain tile "Pollen Patch", signed by designer Calu Fontes.

The designer takes several botanical species to tile , such as Adam's Needle, Falsa and Sweet Grass. "I've always been fascinated by botanical cataloging books. At school I used to draw detailed pictures of vegetation, fungi, ecosystems and microorganisms. For the print on the ceramics, I wanted to bring that aged leaf aspect. The color palette and the designs are more neutral. Even more so because the collection mixes plain pieces," says Calu.

The launch is part of the curatorship of Casa Brasil New York 2022, signed by Natasha Schlobach, which has the theme "Brasil in Natura, Terra Adentro".
