RICARDO AMORIM: "RETAIL IN 2014 - A PLAQUE GOAL OR OWN GOAL"
Economist Ricardo Amorim spoke to over 400 national retail guests about the 2014 sector trends, under the influence of the World Cup, the elections, rising interest rates and inflation.
According to the economist, the development model of recent years in Brazil is exhausted. "Investment in infrastructure has to happen, there is no way to sell well if there is no road to transport".
For him, the World Cup and the elections will have direct reflection on retail. "The World Cup could help, but in a country of demonstrations this may not happen," he says. "With the proximity of the elections, the government is holding back the increases that will certainly come in the next two years," he concludes.
But the good news, he says, is that retail grew more than the production in the industry, since 2004. "It will not be a linear year (because of the World Cup and the Elections), you will grow more than the Brazilian GDP grows, but with ups and downs, however, we are in the season of ups. Make the most of it".
About EXPO REVESTIR, Amorim defined: "success in any sector comes from two factors: good decisions and good business. And the fair offers this, helping the sector to grow and become more important".
After the lecture, a debate was opened by the journalist and editor director of Revista Anamaco (Grau 10 Editora) with the economist and the businessmen of the sector Manuel Correa, general director of Telhanorte; Dimitrios Markakis, President of Dicico/Sodimac; Willian do Vale, director of BR Home Center and Marcos Atchabahian, director of Village Home Center.
Also during the Forum of Retail Leaders and Construction Material Industry, Antônio Carlos Kieling, commented on the new certification program for ceramic tile layers, organized by the Association and that allows the recognition of the high standard professional. The certification of the professional ceramic tile layer had three fundamental partners: Inmetro, the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT) and Senai. The certificate was then delivered to the first five tile setters.
SIMULTANEOUS EVENTS FULL OF KNOWLEDGE MARK THE SECOND DAY OF THE FAIR
The "DESIGN-SE" workshop, by SIQ Marketing, presents a series of lectures that will approach themes such as Kitchens, Bathrooms, Surfaces and Innovation. The first two themes were held this morning and afternoon, in room 13, Mezzanine, and dealt with important aspects for the optimization of the footage in the current buildings. The idea of Less is More, adapted to the kitchen, was translated into how to design with less space, more services and intelligent solutions. The panel was led by Sergei Epof, design manager of Panasonic, who spoke about "Who will take care of the kitchen today? Alexandre Frankel, CEO of Vitacom, spoke about "Life in the mini-space concept".
Sergei Epof's central idea was the use of technology in electronics to make everyday life easier and more enjoyable. "There is a formula hidden in the theory of the three F's: Fit (built-in shapes), Feel (touch and feeling of durability) and Finishing (the quality of the finish, which is linked to the emotional)," says Sergei. According to him, connectivity is another strong point of the contemporary era: "programming the oven by mobile phone and getting home with dinner ready is already a reality", he concludes.
With an expertise in designing flats with sizes ranging from 18 m² to 60 m², Alexandre Frankel emphasizes: "life has changed and useless areas such as maid's room and dining room, once essential, are falling into disuse," he declares. The big secret, according to Alexandre, is the integration in a responsible way.
In the afternoon program, in which the focus was bathrooms, the architect Guilherme Torres stood out with tips to take advantage of every inch of the bathroom. "Ally concepts such as scenography and functionality work as a game of "hide and reveal" and bring contemporary
