This Tuesday (5) the 11th edition of EXPO REVESTIR began at Transamérica Expo Center
The 11th edition of EXPO REVESTIR opened on Tuesday (5) at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo. Important authorities such as Inês Magalhães, Housing Secretary of the Ministry of Cities, Marcio Holland, Economic Policy Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, and Márcia Gomide, Project Manager of Apex-Brasil, attended the event, reaffirming the importance of the meeting for the construction chain. Presidents of business associations such as Claudio Conz (Anamaco), Walter Cover (Abramat), and Heitor Almeida (Aspacer), also attended the event. Inaugurating the 11th edition, organizers, authorities and business people, including Michael Rumpf Gail, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ANFACER (Associação Nacional dos Fabricantes de Cerâmica para Revestimentos, Louças Sanitárias e Congêneres), Antônio Carlos Kieling, President of EXPO REVESTIR and of the International Architecture and Construction Forum, and Lauro Andrade, Event Director, walked through the pavilions welcoming the 240 exhibitors.
On the occasion, Marcio Holland, highlighted that the civil construction sector represents 45% of the country's investments. "The coverings segment is part of this area and has great relevance for job generation. Within this context, EXPO REVESTIR is fundamental when exhibiting the most modern products and new technologies, certainly a privileged place for generating business in this sector that is so important for the economy", he stated.
For Inês Magalhães, the fair presents a great innovation of materials and coverings that contribute to the strengthening of the civil construction sector as a whole, cooperating to its evolution and development.
GREAT PROSPECTS FOR THE 11TH EDITION
This year, the Architecture and Construction Fashion Week, an event that presents the latest trends and launches for the coverings, sanitary ware and metal fittings for kitchens and bathrooms sectors, expects an estimated public of more than 45 thousand visitors from 60 countries.
Occupying an area of 40 thousand m2, with the exhibition of the main and biggest national and foreign brands of the sector, the fair will have the participation of 240 exhibitors, among them 80 foreigners from countries such as Italy, Spain, Portugal, Japan, Israel, USA, Switzerland, Germany, England, Arab Emirates, Czech Republic, Argentina, Indonesia and Pakistan.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS AND JOURNALISTS ATTEND EXPO REVESTIR 2013
With the support of Apex Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), more than 130 international buyers and journalists from 35 countries are visiting EXPO REVESTIR. "Today we can say that EXPO REVESTIR is the main event for the sector in Latin America. To the extent that we bring international buyers to the fair, and to Brazil, we not only allow greater contact with the national manufacturers of tile , but we also promote all of our cultural and industrial diversity," said Márcia Gomide, Project Manager at Apex-Brasil.
INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION FORUM: RENOMINATED PROFESSIONALS IN THE INDUSTRY BRILLIANT ON INTERIOR DESIGNER'S DAY
Theopening ceremony of the first day of the International Architecture and Construction Forum began with a speech by Antônio Carlos Kieling, president of the fair and of the Forum, followed by Renata Amaral, president of ABD (Brazilian Association of Interior Designers), Angelo Derenze, president of Casa Cor, and Livia Pedreira, director of the Casa Nucleus of Editora Abril.
Afterwards, the public attended a lecture by the world-renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, who has designed works in several locations around the globe, such as the Conservatory of Music in Provence, France, the Granada Performing Arts in Spain, and the Victoria & Albert Museum in Scotland. Winner of several international awards, such as the International Architecture Awards for the best New Global Design, and author of important publications in the field, Kuma spoke about "Contemporary Architecture and Design." "The role of the design of the future is with nature. The landscape, slowly and naturally, must be transformed into the built object. The importance of local traditional materials such as stone, wood, and bamboo, combined with the work of artisans, allows the stimulation of the local economy," he emphasized in the opening of the lecture. Next, the panel "ABD - Brasilidade Além das Fronteiras - O Design de Interiores Nacional em Terras Estrangeiras" was held, by Maurício Queiroz, Fernanda Marques and Hugo França, in which the experience abroad of the invited professionals was presented and discussed, as well as the receptivity of the work of Brazilian architects and designers in the foreign market today.
In the lecture "Inspirations from the East - Style and Design from Japan", moderated by Angela Hirata, it was the turn of the renowned Japanese designer Yukio Hashimoto, creator of the Moonbird luminaire, to delight the audience with his innovative ideas on how to create modern spaces providing balance through old materials and effects obtained through studies of natural light.
Finally, it fell to Birgit Lohmann, creator and editor of the Italian website DESIGNBOOM, considered one of the world's largest platforms for art and architecture content and voted one of the 100 most influential design websites by TIME Magazine, to close the day of presentations with the theme "World Interior Design Overview
