The 14th edition of EXPO REVESTIR, to be held from March 1 to 4, 2016, at the Transamerica Expo Center, in São Paulo, was launched for a select group of journalists in the segment, on November 18, in Inhotim, Minas Gerais.
The objective was to offer a unique experience to the guests, with a visit to the main works that have as a strong point the dialogue between architecture, art and ceramics.
The proposed itinerary was accompanied by the architects Thomaz Regatos and Maria Paz, from Rizoma, who are responsible for some of the architectural works at the site.
The program included a brunch, followed by the official presentation at Espaço Igrejinha, an old construction that has been completely restored to become an events space.
The official program began with a speech by Antonio Carlos Kieling, superintendent of EXPO REVESTIR and of the INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION FORUM, and the novelties for the next edition of the fair were revealed. "EXPO REVESTIR, more than ever, has become a priority strategy for companies and professionals from the entire construction chain. One of the greatest legacies of the event is its highly qualified audience, which makes the environment favorable for making decisions and conducting big business", reveals Kieling.
In the sequence, the program had the brief words of Lauro Andrade Filho, general director of the events. "Inhotim matches perfectly with the concept of EXPO REVESTIR, which is to provide a unique, unprecedented and exclusive experience. And that's why we chose this place that concentrates countless surprises that we will discover together", said Lauro. The programme was followed by a talk by Virgínia Paz, an architect from Rizoma, who invited everyone to participate in a tour of some of the museum's most emblematic works and collections.
To make the visit to Inhotim even more interactive, a photographic safari was carried out with the guests through the beauties of the place. The action, which was published in the official social networks of each vehicle and also of EXPO REVESTIR, will be transformed into an exhibition during the fair, in March.
The tour started at the Lygia Pape Gallery, inaugurated in 2012, in which the guests could see the interaction between artwork, architecture and nature. In the continuity of the program, one of the spaces that also surprised the guests was that of the Rio de Janeiro artist Adriana Varejão. The Cosmococa Gallery, by Hélio Oiticica and Neville D`Almeida, also stood out, since its architecture was designed in a labyrinthine format, used as a resource to recreate sensations.
Chris Burdem's projeto Beam Drop Inhotim, composed of 71 beams in a performative action that refers to the extreme and often dangerous situations present in the artist's work, ended the official visit, as well as outdoor works such as Elevazione, by Giuseppe Penone.
The journalists were also surprised by the landscaping signed by Luiz Carlos Orsini, but with some suggestions by Burle Marx, created specifically to house works of art. The 14th Edition of EXPO REVESTIR is out.
