Held from 1 to 4 March 2016, at the Transamerica Expo Center, in São Paulo

Held from March 1 to 4, 2016, at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, the 14th edition of EXPO REVESTIR closed with more than 63 thousand professionals and a record international attendance. Another highlight was a 6.5% increase in unique visits, i.e. new professionals that were at the fair only once during the period.

According to Antonio Carlos Kieling, president of EXPO REVESTIR and superintendent of ANFACER, "this was undoubtedly the largest of all the editions and a milestone for business in 2016, especially in relation to the increase in exports from the sector."

"Expo Revestir's success is due to the undeniable recognition of its performance by visitors and exhibitors, who identify it as the most qualified business and content platform in the sector," says Lauro Andrade Filho, general director of the events. Together with the fair, the INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION FORUM was held, composed of five thematic events simultaneous to the fair. More than 3 thousand highly qualified professionals attended the lectures by big national and international names.

WORLD STARS ON THE FINAL DAY OF THE INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION FORUM

The 14th FORUM brought together, on the last day of EXPO REVESTIR, great international personalities such as Ron Arad (Israel) and Stephen Barrett (England) who spoke on Architects' Day.

The program began with the Asbea Panel, led by Architect Miriam Addor, President of AsBEA and Architect Haroldo Pinheiro, President of CAU/BR, who launched the Architect and Urbanist Guide and received architects Vicente Giffoni and Henrique Cambiaghi for a debate on the applicability of the Guide and its importance for architecture. It is worth mentioning the participation of the cartoonist Paulo Caruso, who drew numerous caricatures of those present at the debate.

Stephen Barret (England), partner of the renowned architect and Pritzker Prize winner Richard Rogers, from Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, took the stage at the Forum. Stephen is a graduate of the Bartlett School of Architecture in London and has signed important projects such as the Bordeaux Courts, France; Terminal 4 of Barajas; Satellite, Madrid, and also the new control tower of Heathrow Airport. Stephen led a multi-disciplinary team participating in the international consultancy on the future of metropolitan Paris ("Le Grand Paris").

Next, the architect and designer Ron Arad (Israel) enchanted the audience by showing the result of years of work, daring and creativity when he presented works that have already entered the history of architecture, such as the Holon Design Museum, the Tel-Aviv Opera House, both in Tel Aviv (Israel), the Vallarta Towers, in Guadalajara (Mexico), and the Mediacite, in Liege (Belgium).

SUSTAINABLE COVERINGS AND INNOVATION IN FINISHINGS

Shiny, satiny, textured and with a surprising colour palette, the coverings launched at the 14th EXPO REVESTIR surprise with the infinite possibilities for use in the home.

Among the trends are the finishes that have gained various polishes and even resistance to UV rays. The various options also include acoustic coatings that, in addition to bringing comfort, are fire-resistant and allow creative compositions by the rich colour palette.

LARGE FORMATS: SEAMLESS AND GUARANTEED AESTHETICS

The maxiformats are here to stay and are increasingly gaining the taste of professionals for their aesthetic qualities and the possibility of minimal amendments between the plates. Among the new products it is possible to find the most varied formats and sizes (45,3cm x 75,8cm; 75cm x 150cm; 60,4cm x 121cm; 60cm x 60cm; 79,7cm x 79,7 cm; 90cm x 90cm) or even the extra large ones (89cm x 89cm) for walls and floors.
