The British designer launches next November the book Fashioning Design, in which he presents the many influences and ideas behind a portfolio of more than 100 creations
British furniture, lighting, and accessory designer Lee Broom is releasing his book Fashioning Design this November, in which he presents the many influences and ideas behind a portfolio of more than 100 creations, some of which are in the permanent collections of cultural institutions in London and New York.
With text by Becky Sunshine, foreword by Stephen Jones, and contributions from fashion greats such as Vivienne Westwood, Kelly Wearstler, and Christian Louboutin, the work is divided into four thematic parts and exemplifies defining aspects of the designer's personality. Art Form, for example, explores Broom's relationship with architecture and silhouette, as well as the way he works with form, balance, and symmetry.
Drama of Design shows Broom's background in theater and fashion and how both influenced his creative thinking, and his work is presented through immersive experiences.
