THE 14TH EXPO REVESTIR IS OPEN
On Tuesday 1 March, the 14th edition of EXPO REVESTIR and the INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION FORUM began. Recognised as the Fashion Week of Architecture and Construction, the fair takes place until 4 March, at the Transamérica Expo Center, in São Paulo.
We have never been so essential and, the importance of EXPO REVESTIR stands out, in practice, for the quality of the launches, the business opportunities, high-level content for professionals in the sector and the main trends of the segment for 2016.
The official opening was attended, from left to right, by the president of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Manufacturers of Ceramics for Tiles, Sanitary Ware and Congeners (ANFACER), Edson Gaidzinski Jr; the president of Cerâmica Almeida, Heitor Almeida; the owner of Gail Cerâmica, Michael Rumpf Gail; the president of Cerâmica Alfagrês, Benjamin Ferreira Neto; the architect Ruy Ohtake; the Minister of Cities, Gilberto Kassab; the President of Abramat, Walter Cover and the superintendent of ANFACER and president of EXPO REVESTIR and the INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION FORUM, Antonio Carlos Kieling.
After the official opening ceremony, the organisers, the authorities and the business people present walked through the pavilions wishing a warm welcome to the more than 235 exhibitors.
Promoted by ANFACER, EXPO REVESTIR is already consolidated as one of the main events in the world for solutions in wall and floor tiles, sanitary ware and metals. "The sector is moving forward expressively, with defined goals and we can work competitively in this moment of the economy", says the president of EXPO REVESTIR, Antonio Carlos Kieling.
INTERNATIONALISATION OF THE MARKET AND EXPECTATION OF HEATED BUSINESS IN 2016
More than 200 exhibitors are distributed over the 40,000 square meters of the fair. They are major producers of finishing solutions in Brazil and foreign exhibitors from Italy, the Arab Emirates, Japan, the United States, the Czech Republic, Spain, Argentina, Portugal, Germany and Israel.
ANFACER AND APEX-BRASIL SIGN COOPERATION AGREEMENT AND BRING INTERNATIONAL BUYERS AND JOURNALISTS TO EXPO REVESTIR
David Barioni, president of Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments), accompanied by the executives Christiano Braga and Márcia Gomide, participates in the fair and opens the FORUM, where he ratifies the programme to stimulate exports from the Brazilian ceramic industry. "The fifteen years of partnership with ANFACER are important to promote the segment and also Brazil. A study by the Ministry of Development has shown that the ceramic sector is the one that invests the most in design, which highlights the companies and promotes them in the foreign market", highlighted Barioni.
With the support of Apex-Brasil, guests from the following countries came to EXPO REVESTIR: Germany, Antigua, Australia, Argentina, Bahamas, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, United Arab Emirates, United States, Honduras, Guatemala, Mauritius, Mexico, Mozambique, Nigeria, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, United Kingdom, Dominican Republic, Saint Lucia, Suriname, Trinidad, Uruguay and Venezuela. The meeting was attended by journalists from Argentina, Italy, Paraguay, Peru, South Africa, the United States and the United Kingdom.
INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION FORUM: LECTURES WITH PETER MARIGOLD (ENGLAND), ITO ORA (FRANCE) AND AWARD CEREMONY ABD
With an auditorium packed with over 900 people, the INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION FORUM began this afternoon.
In the sequence, the Panel ABD was initiated and discussed the theme Foreign Market - How to Work? The debate, led by Renata Amaral, president of the Brazilian Association of Interior Designers (ABD), was mediated by journalist Regina Galvão and counted on the presence of interior designers Estela Marquezi, Andrea Bugarib, Betina Barcellos, and Marco Aurélio Viterbo.
The knowledge marathon continued with the international speakers. The first to present his concepts and trajectories was designer Peter Marigold, from England. Graduated from the Royal College of Art, in London, Peter is considered one of the great names of the new era of design. In his presentation, the designer showed several works presented in galleries and projects to improve the quality of life of people in countries like England, Scotland, among others. "Sometimes, quick but complex projects can be more valuable than those that demand more time", Peter revealed.
Following this, French designer Ora Ito took the stage at the Forum and was interviewed by journalist and editorial director of Casa Claudia magazine, Alexandre Ferreira. The designer behind the Ora ïto brand, winner of six Red Dot Design Awards and three IF Design Awards, is among the most influential in the world in 2015, according to Wallpaper® magazine. "I am inspired by simplicity to create complex objects and concepts. I grew up in a creative family which allowed me to open my horizons," Ora Ito summed up.
To conclude this day dedicated to Interior Designers, the presentation of the New Talents Award at ABD, recognized the skills in the area, through the contest that had the theme Choose Your Client and involved schools and universities. The event ended with the awarding of the winners.

HIGH DESIGN EXPO: TALK WITH TRENDSETTERS
High Design - Home & Office Expo, a fair of high-standard furniture and solutions for architects and interior designers, which will take place in August 2016, in São Paulo, holds, every day of EXPO REVESTIR, DESIGN TRENDS: free minitalks with designers and architects. Today it was the turn of Rodrigo Almeida, Ana Neute and Andre Poli to speak in the morning. In the afternoon, architect Camila Klein and designer Hugo França were leading the talks. This Wednesday the High Design Expo will receive Waldick Jatobá and Roni Hirsch (11am), Francesca Alzati (2pm); Angelo Duvoisin and Bruno Faucz (5pm). Make your schedule!
Casa Vogue: Cabana Chic and trendy cocktail
Casa Vogue magazine set up the Cabana Chic, with a relaxed and convivial mood, to present the 2016 trends in coverings, kitchens, crockery and metals. The publication held a sunset party that brought together professionals from the segment. Check out an overview of the event.
DECA LAUNCHES JADER ALMEIDA'S PIECES AT ABADALED Cocktail
Deca launched the result of Projeto Bamboo Lab signed by designer Jader Almeida, composed of metal and porcelain. At the brand's booth, the cocktail brought together architects, designers, and interior designers. See who visited the event and the pieces first-hand.
Casa Mix receives Calu Fontes, David Bastos, Alex Hanazaki and Sergio Matos
The magazine Casa Mix brings together architects, landscape architects and designers for a chat at their booth throughout the EXPO REVESTIR. Today, at 2pm, the talk took place with visual artist Calu Fontes. Tomorrow, 2 March, it is architect David Bastos' turn (4pm). Alex Hanazaki takes over the talk on March 3 (4pm) and, finally, designer Sergio Matos was scheduled for March 4 (12pm). See how the meeting with Calu Fontes went.
Laufen gathers a cocktail party around projeto Impressions
Roca organized the re-presentation of projeto Impressions by Laufen, 2014/15 edition, at the company's booth at EXPO REVESTIR, which prepared a cocktail party for the professionals participating in the two editions with the presence of João Armentano, Fernanda Marques, Marko Brajovic, Patrícia Anastassiadis, among others. Space BOOMSPDESIGN by Ruy Ohtake is inaugurated with the presence of the architect
One of the first events simultaneous to the 14th EXPO REVESTIR took place this morning, with the presence of architect Ruy Ohtake, at the stand he designed for BOOMSPDESIGN and Gerbar Ventiladores. The interactive installation Kinetic, Chromatic, Climatic intends to stir the senses of those who visit the booth.
