Discover the innovations that are revolutionizing the ceramic tiles and construction market

Expo Revestir 2024 brought a series of technological launches that are transforming the ceramic tile market. Among the novelties presented were products that combine innovation, sustainability and sophisticated design.

Cosentino: Dekton® Ukiyo

Inspired by contemporary Japanese design, Dekton® Ukiyo, from Cosentino, is a real innovation in the sector. Developed in collaboration with interior designer Claudia Afshar, the product arrives on the market in sheets with corrugated structures ready for installation. Designed especially for vertical cladding, such as facades, fireplaces and custom furniture, Dekton® Ukiyo is available in a matt finish and two fluted options.

Durafloor: Hamburg laminate flooring

Durafloor presented the Hamburgo laminate flooring, from the Unique Line, inspired by natural oak. This product, with more defined veins and an appearance similar to warm-toned woods, is ideal for those looking for a cozy atmosphere in high-traffic spaces. Made from HDF (High Density Fiberboard) made from reforested wood, Hamburgo features Protekto Plus technology, which offers long-lasting protection against viruses and bacteria. Tested and approved in the laboratory, tile has 99% viral inactivation within the first minute of contact, guaranteeing a safer and more hygienic environment.

Roca Ceramic: Fusion Series

Roca Cerâmica has launched the Fusion series, which recreates the texture of metal on sheets in the 120 x 250 cm superformat. With a design that imitates steel sheet in a graphite tone with slight oxidation marks, the Mineral LAB technology provides a unique effect through the fusion of noble minerals applied millimetrically over the pattern. The pieces are ideal for walls, panels and floors, including wet indoor areas, as well as worktops and countertops, bringing a touch of modernity and elegance to any space.

Castelatto: Matter Line

With a focus on the circular economy, Castelatto developed the Matéria line of wall coverings, using waste from the production of sanitary ware by Deca. Defective pieces were crushed and transformed into small fragments called "pitcher", which make up 70% of architectural concrete. This practice replaces the need for sand and stone, making more efficient use of the Dexco group's natural resources.

Expo Revestir 2024 showed that the future of ceramic tiles lies in technological and sustainable innovations that not only beautify environments, but also contribute to a more sustainable world.
