Works by Argentine artist Leandro Erlich on show at CCBB-SP
20/4/2022
The tension" exhibition brings together 16 works and is on show until 20 June at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil in São Paulo
A set of 16 works signed by contemporary Argentine artist Leandro Erlich provoke reflections in visitors to the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil in São Paulo, in the central region of the capital. Among the exhibited pieces are a floating boat and lift, windows for imaginary gardens and a scenographic swimming pool. The exhibition "The Tension" is on show until June 20, with free tickets to be picked up at eventim.com.br.
Erlich's proposal is to subvert the idea we have of some environments and spaces taken irreflexively as common, displacing them from functionality and the idea of "normality" that tends to guide them. As the curator Marcello Dantas states, "Leandro Erlich's work is structured on the mechanism of doubt. What our eyes see is at odds with what our mind knows", he summarized.
