Best In Show 2022 Award reveals highlights of Expo Revestir

The Best in Show award, which highlights the best products at Expo Revestir, reached its 7th edition in 2022. Created by Anfacer, the association that promotes the fair, the award selected the best ceramic products in the 20th anniversary edition of the event. All exhibitors at Expo Revestir that are members of Anfacer can compete for the award.

The curatorship of the competitors was in charge of journalist and design critic Marcelo Lima, who won over a jury formed by Guilherme Amorozo, Thais Lauton, Ana Paula Assis, Lilian Santos, Lucila Turqueto and Fernando Mungioli.

For Marcelo Lima, the 7th edition of the Best in Show was the most successful so far, which points to the maturing of the award and the participating companies. "The industry presented what was best. For the new trends we saw reproduction of flowers, the issue of craftsmanship and textures in ceramics".

Camila Lima, also curator of the award, highlighted that the artisanal was a very present factor in the pieces. "People today want a house that looks like home. They want to have their identity represented. The pieces talk about the company's image, what will be a trend, what lies ahead and this edition brought exactly that", emphasizing that for the first time many categories had unanimous voting.
