RICARDO AMORIM IS THE HIGHLIGHT ON BUILDER'S DAY
Bringing together executives and representatives of the country's construction companies, the third day of the International Architecture and Construction Forum took place on Thursday (7). The event included a lecture given by economic journalist Ricardo Amorim, who addressed the topic "Brazil: how to eliminate bottlenecks and accelerate the growth of the construction sector in a sustainable way".
The 2nd Meeting of Construction Company and Construction Material Industry Leaders was opened by Antônio Carlos Kieling, president of the Forum and of EXPO REVESTIR, who highlighted the support and partnership of Editora Pini and of SindusCon-SP, represented respectively by its presidents Eric Cozza and Sérgio Watanabe, who also spoke about the civil construction sector and perspectives for next year.
Ricardo Amorim highlighted the industry's challenges for sustained growth over time, addressing issues such as infrastructure, tax burden, legislation and labor, emphasizing how Brazil can deal with these bottlenecks and what factors led to accelerated growth.
"Over the last 10 years, as a rule, the construction materials sector has been growing at a faster pace than the rest of the Brazilian economy, driven by increased income and credit. While income continues to expand and interest rates continue to fall over the long term, even with occasional cyclical increases, the process of expanding credit in the country should not be reversed, sustaining the sector's growth, which should continue to be significantly faster than the economy," he concluded.
EXPO REVESTIR RECEIVES CHILEAN ARCHITECTS
Ten of the most renowned architectural firms in Chile visited the stands at the Pavilion of the Transamérica Expo Center during the first three days of the event. In a partnership between ANFACER, creator and director of EXPO REVESTIR, and Casa Cor Chile, the professionals visited the event in search of innovative national materials and products that will be used in the next edition of the show, which will take place in the second half of this year.
In addition to the fair's program, the architects visited Al. Gabriel Monteiro da Silva, a stronghold of the most important decoration shops and brands in the São Paulo capital, and saw works by Oscar Niemeyer.
JUM NAKAO NA EXPO REVESTIR
Antonio Carlos Kieling, president of Expo Revestir and of the Forum and Lauro Andrade, director of the events, received on Thursday (7) the Brazilian designer Jum Nakao. During his second visit to the fair Jum emphasized the important relationship between fashion and architecture and how these two areas complement each other.
"Dressing and covering are fields that complement each other. EXPO REVESTIR is like a textile fair for those who make fashion, where you find all the elements to "dress" the house. Our clothes are layers that show who we are, what values we have and our home is the environment where our story takes place. The house is the scenario of our own existence", said the designer while walking through the aisles of the fair, checking the latest trends in colours, textures and patterns for coverings.
PROFESSIONAL PUBLIC MARKS AT THE FAIR
The qualified professional public present at the event reaffirms the importance of EXPO REVESTIR for the sector. Architects, interior designers, retailers, builders and international buyers came to check out the latest solutions for the construction finishing sector.
In addition to the 240 exhibitors present, visitors participated in the International Architecture and Construction Forum, an event held simultaneously with EXPO REVESTIR, which will close with the Tecnargilla Brasil program and the Architect's Day, this Friday (8), with the presence of the renowned British architecture critic from the Financial Times, Edwin Heathcote.
