Projeto da Roca Cerámica invests in the union between architecture and neuroscience
Roca Cerámica announced last week the launch of Roca NeuroLAB Experience, the first specialized laboratory in neuroarchitecture in Brazil, in partnership with NeuroArq Academy. The space will be inaugurated in June, in the brand's showroom in Campo Largo, Paraná.
As the brand explains on its website, the term neuroarchitecture comes from the sum of knowledge from two sciences mainly - neuroscience and architecture. In addition to neuroscience and architecture knowledge, psychology, anthropology and other sciences go hand in hand to create more comfortable settings that help people live better lives, both physically and emotionally.
Although it is a relatively new study, it is extremely important that professionals in the area are aware of it and, therefore, Roca Cerámica has teamed up with NeuroArq Academy, an expert in the subject, to create the first neuroscience laboratory applied to architecture in Brazil: Roca NeuroLAB, which will be inaugurated in June, in our showroom.
With 145 m², the Roca NeuroLAB was designed to give life to a scientific experiment that, with the concepts of neuroarchitecture, seeks solutions that positively impact our style of living. The interactive experience will be open to invited architecture professionals, who, through their experience in the NeuroLAB, will contribute directly to the research led by NeuroArq Academy, which will be published later.
The experience marks the beginning of Roca Cerámica's partnership with NeuroArq Academy, in search of solutions to help architects and designers think of better environments that provide well-being.
For the experiment, state-of-the-art gadgets will allow us to measure participants' physiological responses, such as heartbeats and micro changes in the conductivity of the skin of their hands through sweat - collecting data that allows us to analyse how our bodies and brains react to spaces and stimuli.
