Tecnargilla Brasil discusses new technologies used in the production of ceramic tiles

International experts in the ceramic tile sector will discuss the advances in technology for tile production and the future of the ceramic industry at the Tecnargilla Brazil Forum, to be held on March 25 and part of the 9th INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION FORUM program. Under the curatorship of Prof. Dr. Anselmo O. Boschi, coordinator of the Ceramic Tile Laboratory of UFSCar (Federal University of São Carlos), Tecnargilla Brasil brings in 2011 four lectures especially selected for the updating and improvement of the professionals of the ceramic tile industry. Giovanni Baldi, from Centro Ricerche Colorobbia (Italy) will address the applicability of nanotechnology in the manufacture of ceramic tiles.
Another highlight is the lecture by Federica Bondioli, from the University of Modena (Italy), in which she talks about "Trends in decoration and functionalisation of ceramic tiles".
And to round off the discussions, Andrea Brescini, from the Ceramic R&D Center in Sacmi (Italy), will discuss "Innovations in the production of ceramic tiles". The Tecnargilla Brazil Forum is promoted by the National Association of Ceramic Tile Manufacturers (ANFACER) in partnership with the Italian organizations Associazione Nazionale di Categoria dei Costruttori di Macchine e Attrezzature per Ceramica (Acimac) and the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (Ice). The Ceramic Center of Brazil (CCB), LARC/UFSCAR and the magazines Cerâmica Industrial, Faenza and Mundo Cerâmico are also partners.
