‍Wood, the Future of Construction: Industrialization, Sustainability and Sophistication

- Speaker: José Carlos Martins (Chairman of the Board of CBIC - Brazilian Chamber of the Construction Industry)

A construction entrepreneur and civil engineer for more than 30 years, José Carlos Rodrigues Martins was president of the Brazilian Chamber of the Construction Industry (CBIC) and senior vice-president of the Confederation of Contractors Associations (CICA). He is currently president of CBIC's Advisory Board, a member of the Economic, Social and Sustainable Council (CDESS), a member of the International Housing Association (IHA) and the Inter-American Construction Federation (FIIC).

In his career, Martins was president of the Association of Real Estate Market Company Managers of Paraná (Ademi-PR). He was president of the National Committee for the Technological Development of Housing (CTECH) of the Ministry of Cities. He participated directly in the formulation of various public policies such as the PAC, the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program and many others.

He is currently a consultant on Construction Strategies for Companies and Institutional Representations, as well as an Advisor to Companies linked to the sector.

‍Industrializationin Construction and Increased Productivity - Case Urbic

- Speaker: José Carlos Martins (Chairman of the Board of CBIC - Brazilian Chamber of the Construction Industry)

‍‍Civilengineer with a master's degree in Structural Engineering from USP, with a career spanning over 40 years, he also holds an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). A current member of the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), he worked at Tishman Speyer as Managing Director and Head of Design and Construction; at Encol, he led the construction and technological development activities. In addition to his experience at Inpar Incorporação, he has built a total of more than 800 buildings under his guidance. Not to mention his academic experience: a visiting professor at POLI-USP, he has published two books and several articles. He is currently a Senior Partner at productivity consultancy TECNOENG and at Urbic_Inc, which specializes in industrialized multi-storey housing.

‍Management, Innovation, Digital Transformation and Startups - Case MPD

- Speaker: Milton Meyer (CEO of MPD Engenharia)

 With a career spanning more than 30 years in the field, executive Milton Correa Meyer Filho has been part of MPD Engenharia since 1986, when, together with Mauro Dottori, he took on not only a decisive but also an assertive role in decision-making with clients and suppliers, encouraging the teams both on the construction site and in the office.

A civil engineer with a degree from the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP), he has held various positions in the company, such as engineer, coordinator, technical director and vice-president, being responsible for the coordination, operation and execution of various projects for the construction company and developer throughout this time. Since July 2020, he has been CEO of MPD Engenharia.

- Speaker: Fabrício Rocha da Costa (Development Director at Gamaro Incorporadora)

Civil Engineer graduated from Mackenzie and has a postgraduate degree in business management and finance from Ibmec. He has more than 20 years' experience in the real estate market, working for consultancy firms, banks and developers of great expression and renown in the São Paulo real estate market, such as Consult Soluções Patrimoniais, Banco Safra and Yuny Incorporadora. He is currently Director of Developments at Gamaro Desenvolvimento Imobiliário.

CEO of CTE - Centro de Tecnologia de Edificações since 1990, a consulting company specializing in quality, management, technology, innovation, sustainability and ESG in construction. Civil Engineer, Master and PhD in Engineering from the Polytechnic School of USP.

Before heading up CTE, he was Director of IPT's Building Division and President of ABNT's Brazilian Civil Construction Committee. He specializes in quality, technology, management, sustainability and innovation in construction. He is the author of nine technical books focused on quality, technology and management for developers, builders and designers. He has given numerous lectures and courses in Brazil and abroad and has written several technical articles throughout his career. In 2017, he created Enredes, an ecosystem of innovation and sector relationships, bringing together companies from the construction production chain, where the Digital, Industrialized and Sustainable Construction Network was born, with the aim of driving the movement for digital transformation, industrialization and sustainability in construction in Brazil.

‍FábioLuís Garbossa Francisco

Civil engineering professional working in the technical and operational areas of the real estate and construction market. Management in the areas of technical feasibility, projects, planning, budgets and costs, supplies, production and control of works and technical assistance.

He also coordinates and teaches courses in the areas of construction planning and management and the real estate market.

Civil engineer, MBA in economics and construction administration from FGVSP and specialist in project and construction planning and management.
