Areka'a, a Brazilian brand of designer furniture, debuts at Expo Revestir 2026, marking a new chapter in its history: the official launch of its line of decks and coatings in solid hardwood, as well as the presentation of its first immersion bathtub carved entirely from wood.
The new line of decks and coatings represents a technical and conceptual breakthrough for the brand. Produced with 100% heartwood, rigorously selected, the products undergo natural drying in the air dry system, without the use of greenhouses and without energy consumption.
This process preserves the wood fibers, increases structural stability, and ensures superior durability, respecting the natural aging process of the raw material. While the market accelerates industrial processes, Areka'a chooses natural maturation as its technical differentiator.
At Expo Revestir 2026, the brand also presents its first immersion bathtub carved from solid wood, carved from a single block of fine wood, without seams or joints.
With its rounded shape and internal waterproofing for eternal durability, the piece offers a contemporary reinterpretation of Victorian tradition, combining ritual, comfort, and nature in a single sculptural gesture.
Founded by designer and entrepreneur Carla Garcia, Areka'a was created with the purpose of elevating Amazonian wood to a new level of sophistication and environmental responsibility. Internationally recognized for its original furniture, the brand is now expanding its operations, connecting design, architecture, and sustainability in the same constructive logic.
“I realized that it was necessary to create a new product by studying real sustainability rules. Not in theory, but in practice. We needed to optimize quality raw materials, reduce waste, and generate more positive impact,” says Carla Garcia, director and founder of Areka’a.
