Exporta Mais Brasil: First edition of 2024 focuses on coatings
3/20/2024
The president of ApexBrasil, Jorge Viana, took part in the official opening of the fair and celebrated with the sector the first Exporta Mais Brasil of the year.
In an initiative by Anfacer, in partnership with ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), the Exporta Mais program will bring 41 international buyers to the fair with the aim of strengthening the ceramic tile production sector and facilitating closer ties between the Brazilian industry and international buyers.
Jorge Viana confirmed his intention to strengthen the sector's global operations. "Brazil is very good in this area. We're the 6th largest exporter, but we want more. We want to value the Brazilian product. We want to help Brazilian flooring, ceramics and tile conquer more international markets. And for that to happen, we need to join forces, make the most of the opportunities offered by the domestic market, but also dare to compete in the world", he reiterated.
In this context, Sérgio Magalhães highlighted the sector's ambitions to further expand its participation in the global market. "Today we are exporting 13% of our production, but the association's goal and our efforts are aimed at reaching 30%."
ApexBrasil and Anfacer sign commitment agreement
On the occasion, the presidents of the Agency and Anfacer, Maurício Borges, signed a joint declaration to strengthen the partnership in promoting the sector's international sales.
Women in the Ceramics Industry
During the opening of Expo Revestir, Anfacer honored two professionals for their immense contribution to the sector and for their example of excellence and female leadership: Ana Lúcia Bastos Mota, from Cerbras and Ana Paula Margarido, from the Ceramic Center of Brazil (CCB).
The tribute is part of the "Women in the Ceramics Industry" initiative, recently launched by Anfacer, with the aim of helping the sector meet the fifth of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, Gender Equality (SDG No. 05), as well as promoting the professional development of women in the ceramics industry.
