Portobello presents its first global collection at Expo Revestir

Published in
11.2.2025

Launch reflects the brand's new cycle of open innovation and international expansion

Between March 10 and 14, Portobello Grupo will be taking part in the 23rd Expo Revestir, at the São Paulo Expo. The company is reinforcing its commitment to design and innovation by presenting to the market the first global collection in its history: Bossa On The Road.

Bossa On The Road highlights the evolution of the Portobello brand language, based on modern and contemporary architecture, Brazilian, American and European design. The concept of open innovation is broader, with the brand's creative teams acting as a single global team, creating for different markets under an integrated vision.

Technological developments play an essential role in this new phase. The introduction of new raw materials and improved techniques, combined with the advance of digital relief in ceramics, opens up unprecedented possibilities for surface design.

Among the highlights of this year's launches is the partnership with artist Vik Muniz. In 2024, those who visited the Portobello Grupo stand at Expo Revestir got a glimpse of what was to come when they saw a work of art created by Vik, installed at the entrance to the stand and connected to the products launched that year. Now, this collaboration has materialized in an exclusive line that translates his creativity into ceramics.

Another highlight that Portobello will present is the line co-created with Marcelo Rosenbaum. With his unique approach and an eye deeply rooted in Brazilian culture, Rosenbaum explores textures and shapes that dialog with national identity and resonate globally, bringing innovation and authenticity to the brand's portfolio.

Sustainability is another important issue for Portobello. This year, the stand - designed by architect Giovani Bonetti and the brand's architecture team - will be the same as last year's Expo Revestir. Built on the basis of a conscious consumption projeto , it uses MLC - Glued Laminated Timber -, an extremely technological and triply sustainable material. After the fair, the material will be used to build a community center on a 6,000 square meter plot in the Jardim Progresso district of Tijucas, Santa Catarina, where one of the Portobello Group's factories is located.

The Portobello unit distributes its products through the country's main home centers, the real estate market and major construction projects, as well as exporting to more than 70 countries. This unit has an industrial park in Tijucas, Santa Catarina, which produces the most innovative ceramic products, especially porcelain tiles.

The Pointer unit is a democratic design brand, with operations in the northeast of the country, as well as exports, and an industrial unit structured to be as sustainable as possible, in Marechal Deodoro, Alagoas.

Portobello America materializes the group's internationalization strategy, with a consolidated distribution operation and the construction of the brand's first manufacturing plant, which will open in October 2023 in Baxter, Tennessee.
