Placas do Brasil launches the "Botanical Collection" at Expo Revestir 2026, presenting new MDF patterns and synchronized textures in a disruptive collaboration with fashion and art.

After great success in its first participation in last year's Expo Revestir, Placas do Brasil, a brand specializing in the production and sale of high-quality MDF panels made from 100% renewable eucalyptus forests, arrives at Expo Revestir 2026 with bold new launches in a double booth, which will feature a catwalk, an Instagram-worthy space, exclusive experiences, disruptive partnerships, and plenty of Brazilian flair.
Presenting the Botanical Collection to the public, which highlights six striking patterns and a new texture inspired by the Atlantic Forest, visitors can expect an unforgettable and unlikely encounter during the fair. Straight from the launch preview held at the Pinacoteca, Placas do Brasil brings the pieces used in its multicultural event that revealed fashion as a creative language beyond the product, expanding the sensory, aesthetic, and symbolic interpretation of its MDF patterns.
Featuring pieces by nationally and internationally renowned designer Jay Boggo, the collection also includes contributions from artist Paulo Roberto Balbino, a leading figure in the carnival scene. Check out the unique patterns used as inspiration:
Alocasia was born from observing the natural lines of the plant, translated into an exclusive design of overlapping shapes, volumes, and shadows. Inspired by the ecological role of the species in the forest, the pattern brings a sense of freshness, balance, and protection to environments. Among the functions of Alocasia is to create conditions for other species to thrive, regulate the microclimate, and protect the soil. With organic lines and a strong sensory presence, the pattern reveals the deep dialogue between design, nature, and biodiversity.

Tauari Solar comes from the faithful scanning of natural Tauari wood slats, preserving its authenticity and visual richness. Its light and bright tone balances modernity and softness, creating light and welcoming environments. With striking cathedrals and elongated veins, it translates tropical light into a modern and naturally Brazilian aesthetic.

Azul Atlântico comes from the meeting between the Atlantic Ocean and the Atlantic Forest, translating a living territory of transition between water, humidity, and forest. Its slightly grayish and warm blue evokes the fog, filtered light, and organic rhythm of the Brazilian coast. In environments, it creates an atmosphere of sophisticated welcome, elevating elegance and calm.

Ipê Dourado celebrates the strength and beauty of native Brazilian wood through the faithful scanning of natural slats. Its warm golden hue highlights organic cathedral grain, revealing depth and visual nobility. Subtle nuances of green, blue, and gray tones enhance the pattern's versatility, creating natural and refined compositions.

The latter two, presented in the new Sintonia texture, which arises from the perfect coherence between design and relief, is applied to both sides of the MDF, naturally connecting sight and touch. The synchronization between image and texture reveals pores, veins, and nuances in an organic way, enhancing the sensory realism of the surface. Double-sided, the technology expands the possibilities of use and gives projects more fluidity, aesthetic balance, and perceived value:
Carvalho Angra draws inspiration from the coves of the Atlantic Forest, transitional territories where sea and forest coexist in balance. Its cathedrals of gentle rhythm evoke natural and continuous contours, creating a serene interpretation of wood. Light and delicate, it reveals subtle nuances of color and movement, bringing lightness to environments.

Carvalho Costeiro reveals the interaction between the forest and the ocean in coastal landscapes. Its continuous rhythm veins dialogue with the coastal climate, translating balance and naturalness. The warm and enveloping medium almond tone gains subtle nuances and shadows that create depth and an organic gradient.
